I started CoCloset with a simple goal: keep great clothes in rotation and out of landfills. Working in fashion and magazines, I saw endless racks of gorgeous pieces discarded in sample closets and warehouses. At the same time, packages were constantly piling up in my apartment building, shipped from fast fashion brands hundreds or thousands of miles away. It didn’t make sense.
CoCloset bridges that gap by keeping it local. Instead of shipping boxes back and forth, we unlock an endless wardrobe by tapping into our neighbors’ closets and partnering with local dry cleaners to serve as distribution hubs. This model is a win-win-win: it supports small businesses in your neighborhood, gives you access to high-end style that might otherwise be out of reach, and provides a simple way to earn money from clothes already hanging in your closet. Plus, it has a smaller negative impact on the environment.
